Standard Helical Gears

Helical gears are most frequently used in auto transmissions. Since their experience less wear and friction than other types of gear while still having a substantial force-transfer capacity, they are perfect for high-speed applications. They are made from a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, bronze, nylon, etc. Helical gears are more durable. Because of their larger surface areas and helical construction, which allows more of them to be in contact at once and spread the weight, helical-cut gears are stronger.
